Chelsey is a graduate of Rhodes University, having gained a BSc in Economics as well as her LLB.

After university Chelsey took her articles with a Johannesburg-based law firm, and in 2018 was admitted as an attorney and continued working as an associate across a broad range of legal matters. A short sabbatical spent working in Florida inspired Chelsey to look for a change of focus away from traditional practice, so on return to South Africa she moved in-house, joining a facilities services organisation as Group Legal Advisor to multiple umbrella companies, with responsibility for case management and all commercial activities.

Chelsey’s interest in process improvement saw her taking the lead in simplifying and improving how contracting is done, and those skills are now being put to good use at Radiant where she is working with global financial services clients to deliver streamlined contracting support.
